The Path To Membership

If you are interested in joining our organization, there are three steps you must follow.

Step One

Read our Code of Practice and be a Unitarian Universalist

In order to be a member of our organization you must agree to practice in accordance with our Code of Practice. There are no exceptions.

Also, you must also be a member in good standing of a Unitarian Universalist congregation.

If there is no Unitarian Universalist congregation near you or if you simply prefer, you may join the online congregation of our denomination,       The Church of the Larger Fellowship.

Step Two

Fill out our online Member Application

Once you have filled out the application, you will be sent an email confirmation that we have received your application.

We will then contact your two reference people, one of whom must be your UU parish minister.  If there are any questions, we will be in touch with you directly.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact our Administrator at uuscministry@gmail.com.  (Please be patient, as she is a very part-time staffer.)

Often, applications are delayed because reference people are not prompt in their replies.  If a month goes by and you haven't heard from us, please check with us to see if your reference people are in need of a reminder.

Step Three

Pay your dues

Once we have verified that you meet our membership requirements
you will be asked to pay your membership dues.

Annual dues are:
Regular:  $75
Hardship:  $37.50*
Student:  $22.50
*(Temporary hardship status can be applied for by sending an email to our Administrator at uuscministry@gmail.com, stating your circumstances.)

You will receive a dues notice by email. Follow the instructions and pay manually, by PayPal, or via check to our office:

Upon approval by our Membership Director, you will receive a personal email welcoming you to membership.

Once logged in you will see a Members Only area that will allow you to update your Directory listing, show you resource pages, allow you to sign up for events, and orient you to our organization. Please be sure to refer to the Guide to Best Practices for Community Ministry.
